As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of advanced WordPress solutions. You will work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure websites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and customization of complex WordPress websites and applications.
- Design and implement custom themes and plugins based on project requirements.
- Architect scalable and maintainable WordPress solutions, including custom CMS features and integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications and deliverable solutions.
- Ensure the performance, security, and SEO optimization of WordPress sites.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to WordPress sites and applications.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in WordPress development and apply them to projects.
- Manage version control, deployments, and staging environments
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Extensive experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Proven track record of developing custom themes and plugins for WordPress.
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, performance optimization, and security practices.
- Experience with popular page builders and WordPress eCommerce solutions
- Proficiency in version control systems and development tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
