You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure seamless deployment, and stay updated on emerging technologies. Expertise in WordPress development, front-end technologies, and back-end integration is essential. Ideal candidates are problem-solvers with a solid understanding of web application development, version control, and SEO principles, eager to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience with PHP frameworks and popular plugins is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Constant communication with other colleagues in the business to develop and deploy their content – and ensuring there is a clear establishment of what can be created within what timeframe
• Providing internal support and external customer service throughout the build and launch process of the website
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to operations and activities
• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design objectives

Job Requirements

• Proven working experience in WordPress
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and responsive design principles.
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git or other version control systems.
• Proficiency in PHP, WordPress (custom themes and plugins), and MySQL.
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming, and web application development
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
• Basic knowledge of SEO
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Experience in designing and developing responsive design websites
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
